The second responsibility of product managers is to understand their competition.

Finally, product managers need to understand their company’s business model. 

This includes knowing how their products and services fit into the company’s overall structure and how they will be monetized (if at all).

So what separates a great product manager from a mediocre one? Here are some tips for succeeding in the role:

Be passionate about your product

It’s important to have a passion for your product if you want to be successful in product management. 

This not only comes through in how you talk about it but also how you help develop it.
